Semaglutide is a GLP-1 agonist administered as an injection once weekly. This medication was initially used to effectively treat diabetes and has been FDA approved for weight loss.

It works by helping your pancreas release insulin appropriately. The medication helps slow down the time it takes food to move through your digestive tract which makes you feel full longer.

It also helps regulate satiety and appetite hormone

It is an incredible medication with a ton of data showing effective weight loss of an average of 15% of their body weight. This medication can be used for long-term weight management or shorter-term weight reduction.

The cost of the brand name of the medication, Wegovy is $1300/month and not covered by insurance. Using compounded semaglutide offers an affordable option.

Phentermine is a prescription appetite suppressant used for the treatment of excess weight and obesity.

It works by suppressing the appetite by changing the chemistry in the brain in a way that decreases the hunger drive. Individuals taking these medications lose weight because they are less hungry and thus consume fewer calories. These medications help you feel more in control of your appetite and food cravings. They can increase your satiety, which means that when you eat you will feel full sooner. Phentermine can also help take your mind off food so that you can think about other things.

Phentermine was approved by the FDA in 1959 and has been taken by millions of patients.

Fen/fen was a two-drug combination of fenfluramine and Phentermine Fenfluramine is not related chemically to phentermine. Fenfluramine was taken off the market in 1997 because it was thought to cause a serious complication known as pulmonary hypertension in some patients. Phentermine has never been associated with pulmonary hypertension.

Totally understandable!

The needles used for weight loss medications are so very tiny.  I will show you how to give yourself an injection. I am happy to work with you to find a solution that works for you.

You can do anything!

Yes

Current patients who refer new patients will receive 20% off their next service.

Healthcare workers,  therapists and teachers will receive 50% off their Initial Consultation.

I have some limited sliding scale available, please reach out.

No, I do not accept or bill insurance. I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. I am looking to provide a straightforward service at an affordable price. I will be able to give discounts on labs that may be more economical than you have with your insurance company.

There are no contracts, signup fees, or other hidden costs.  You may find that the money you save on groceries, eating out and medical bills are greater than the cost of this program.

In addition, insurance often does not cover the cost of medication that I would recommend.

Paying for this service is the best form of self-care! Love yourself and spend money on yourself.

Yes!

I recommend updating your blood work before our initial consultation. You may bring labs from another provider if they are from the last 4 months. Or I will order labs for you to do before our initial meet-up.

Insurance may cover your labs or I will be able to order labs that are economically priced. The labs will be shipped to your home and you may chose your own lab to have your blood work done.

It is a very safe medication but it is not okay for people to take it with a family history of cancer like a  medullary thyroid carcinoma or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome. Like all weight loss services, it is not for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

The big side effects are mostly gastrointestinal like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. This is better when using B12, on an empty stomach and starting at a very low dose.

I don’t. I will work with you to find a diet that resonates with you.

I am a fan of intermittent fasting. There is a lot of data behind the Mediterranean diet, which is just a non-junk food diet.

I work with you to help you find healthy foods you like. The goal is a long-term sustainable eating plan.

The only diet I ever recommend is to eat REAL food, and not too much.

Vegetarian. Gluten-Free.  Keto. There is not one diet with any evidence to support it other than the eating real food diet. But we will work together to develop a plan.

The goal is not to be hungry.  I support food journaling, awareness, and mindful eating.

That is the goal behind the initial consultation. I want to find out everything about you, so we can create an optimal plan for you.

All chronic health conditions benefit from weight loss.

Losing weight may enable you to reduce or even eliminate the medications you are taking for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or other illnesses.
